Book Review: The Price of Creation

I first learned about this book from a friend, and after reading the blurb, I got excited. I liked the sound of the concept involving stones that define a person's destiny. Fortunately for me, The Price of Creation was an incredible and enthralling read.

The first chapter of the book already intrigued me. It speak of a storyteller who was immortal, ageless and nameless. But he still introduced himself as the Historian. He had already went to a lot of places, far and wide, and soon came upon a giant wall and the curiosity of what was behind it got the best of him.

Soon thereafter, I came to know the other characters who lived beyond the great wall. I met Sadavir who was born in a land called Creators. His father and mother, Aric & Lauria were both Creators but somehow, his stone was different from the others, thus earning him the name Destroyer. The people of Surac never accepted him because they thought he would only bring destruction, theft and chaos to the place.

Sadavir decided to join the Destroyers, even though deep inside, he did not consider himself as one of them. He was accompanied by the Historian and together they discovered the truth behind the wall, the stones and the Destroyers. I myself was astounded with what I learned.

Honestly, I couldn't put this book down! It was like the fix I needed to feed my daily coffee & book addiction. The Price of Creation is a one-of-a-kind novel. The Historian was a one-of-a-kind storyteller. Sadavir & Olya are a one-of-a-kind tandem that captured my heart and soul. Lance Conrad is a one-of-a-kind author that everyone must meet and read. Two thumbs up!
