here comes trouble...

As a mom, I always see to it that my kids are disciplined and properly taken care of so they would grow to be well-mannered & well-behaved kids.

When my first-born Kyle graduated from KinderGarten & Prep 3 years ago, I was a beaming mom because Kyle got the Most Behaved Student Citation (among other awards). Before, during his first few days at school, I thought he would be hard-headed and might bully his classmates or worse, cause trouble in his class. What a surprised he turned out to be, when his teachers updated me with his attitude & grades. They said, he was the most quiet pupil in the class, he preferred to be alone and stood only when asked to answer questions.

My Oh My.. I realized, Kyle did not inherit my genes when it comes to GMRC (Good Manners & Right Conduct). Hehehe.. I take it he got his silent demeanor from his dad. He would never have acquired mine!

You might be asking why & how this could be?

Well, let me tell you, I was a bully during my elementary days, I caused trouble in high school and I've been reprimanded a couple of times in College. Heck, I was even given due process - investigations when I was already working in AOL (during my single & free days!)

Hard to believe? Nah... I also wondered why. It just seemed that trouble always finds me. Let me tell you about my misdemeanors.

during the first few months on First Grade (Grade I) -
One night, I wasn't able to review my notes & study well because I has been watching cartoons on TV. The next day,  I caught myself trembling when my teacher, Mrs. Caridad Rivera announced about a surprise test In English. What went to my mind was I'd surely fail the test.

So what I did next was the unthinkable! I got my English notebook from my bag and put it under the desk, under my Reading Comprehension Book. When the exams started, I took a peak at my notebook whenever I didn't know the answer to the questions.

Oh yes, ladies and gentlemen, I CHEATED! First time ever, I cheated on class! And the worst part is, I GOT CAUGHT! Damn! My Teacher was really disappointed in me, and we took the situation to the Guidance Counselor. There I was reprimanded and was expected never to cheat again.

Oh well, I didn't want to ruin my reputation at school, so I never ever cheated again. I was actually surprised when I got recognized with Honors (First Honors, actually) during the Closing Exercises. My mom was beaming!

Onward to my other mischief, I have already told you about my bullying days on my last post  - I was once a Bully too, and I'm not proud of it..

And oh, before I forget, I also caused "quarrels" between my classmates on my Third Grade, I refused to seat in and stay on another classroom ( and section) when our classroom teacher took an emergency leave for a day. I hated those in Section 2 that's why I didn't leave our classroom when we were asked to. Of course, I was again sent to the Principal's Office due to subordination.

Need I say more?

For my high school misadventures with my teachers & Principal's Office (again), I'd have to blog about it on another day. My kids are already asking me to stop typing because they would like to play Bookworm Adventures.

To be continued....
