Miss World Philippines

Everyone is still reeling from the recently concluded Miss World Pageant. Of course, everyone's happy to learn that out very own Megan Young, brought forth pride and honor to our country. 

History  was written when the first-ever Filipina won the coveted crown. Megan Young became the "The world's Most Beautiful" when she won the Miss World 2013 title during the pageant's coronation night on Sept. 28 in Indonesia.

Megan had always aspired to become a beauty queen during her kiddie years. Growing up in the United States, her grandparents still instilled Pinoy culture and beliefs in her.

When she went back home to the Philippines, she studied and pursue her dream of joining showbizness. Soon she joined a reality search and became a star in her own right. Of course, along the way, she garnered many admirers. Then she joined another prestigious pageant, Binibining Pilipinas, hoping to get the Miss Universe title. But she failed to join the ranks. She cried buckets of tears and asked, "what went wrong?"

A year later, the answer to her question came to her when she was fortunately crowned as Miss World Philippines. Everyone had high hopes on her. Her biggest fans, her family, supported her all the way to her road to royalty. And 

Sunday night, she proved everyone that she was not destined to reign the universe because she is entitled to conquer the whole world.

Congratulations, Megan Young. You make us all proud! The world is now in your hands :)
