bear one another's burden

i received this special message from my good friend, Shaye through e-mail.. i thought i'd share this with you all..

BEAR ONE ANOTHER'S BURDENS

Song: "God Will Make A Way" (GALATIANS 6:2) "Bear ye one another's burdens, and so fulfill the law of Christ."

THOUGHT:
I feel so burdened myself, that sometimes I can't even see other’s burdens. But Jesus reminds me that if I am to be like Him, I am to be a burden carrier. This is why He came, why He died, and why His resurrection is so important – to lift from us the burdens of sin and death and hopelessness. He has blessed us by carrying our heaviest burdens so that we might lighten the load of those around us.

PRAYER:
"Oh Dear Heavenly, Compassionate Father, help me to see the burdens in the lives of others around me and then respond to those burdens with help. I want to be a blessing to the broken and discouraged, so please help me find my place and my way of serving to your glory. In Jesus' name. Amen."

OVERCOMING BURDENS OF LIFE:
Did you know that an eagle knows when the storm is approaching long before it breaks? The eagle will fly to some high spot and wait for the winds to come. When the storm hits, it sets its wings so that the wind will pick it up and lift it above the storm. While the storm rages below, the eagle is soaring above it. The eagle does not escape the storm. It simply uses the storm to lift it higher. It rises on the winds that bring the storm.

When the storms of life come upon us – and all of us will experience them we can rise above them by setting our minds and our belief toward God. The storms do not have to overcome us. We can allow God's power to lift us above them. God enables us to ride the winds of the storm that bring sickness, tragedy, failure and disappointment in our lives. We can soar above the storm.

Remember, it is not the burdens of life that weigh us down; it is how we handle them. – Author Unknown

As we know, many people are reluctant to open up about the very intimate problems of life. That can make it difficult for someone trying to help. But even if they don't totally open up, just your interest, your compassion, your desire to help can make all the difference in the world. The Bible teaches that we really are our brother's keeper.

REACHING OUT WITH THE LOVE OF CHRIST TO SOMEONE WHO IS HURTING IS THE ULTIMATE MINISTRY ANYONE CAN PERFORM IN THIS LIFE. (Quoted, Rev Bill Keller)
