pray for boston

This is a little late post, as I have only gained access to the Internet after 9 hours of no electricity. It was only this morning when I learned that there was a scheduled Power Interruption in our town, therefore I was not aware of the tragedy that happened in Boston.

As it happened, CNN had reported that two bombs went off within 550 feet (170 m) of each other, killing 3 people and injuring at least 154 during the Boston Marathon.

“On days like this there are no Republicans and Democrats. We will find out who did this and we will hold them accountable. We do not know who did this or why… But make no mistake. We will get to the bottom of this,” says President Obama.
My prayer goes out to the victims of the twin explosions. My heart especially grieves upon learning about the untimely and mournful death of an 8-year old kid who ran the Boston Marathon. Kids dying or getting hurt always make me cry. I never want anything like this happen to my own child or to anyone. This senseless act of violence should stop. As the actor Mark Wahlberg had said, ”The world obviously needs to change.”

A heartfelt Thank You also goes out to the incredible number of people who selflessly jumped in, ran again and helped those who fell victim to this horrific event.

I may not be American, I may not be a Patriot, but I am One with the people of Boston.
