the BEST Birthday Surprise ever!

When the man in uniform returns to his roots and the woman he loves cried so hard, 

and that's when everyone else cries too.. 

A little story about my brother, Mom and me.. 

My brother, Nash, is in Japan for his US Navy duties.  A few weeks before our mom's 55th birthday, my brother told me about his plan to surprise our mom on the 31st of March. Two days ago, he called me from his camp and confirmed his arrival. I was so ecstatic. I told my two sisters about this and my husband was also in on the secret. 

Soon, everyone else knows that my brother is coming (for the Balikatan Exercises), except Nanay.. it was truly a hush-hush.... My relatives from Manila learned about this from my sisters. Thankfully, they all knew how to keep a secret. 

Whenever Nanay asked us about Nash, why he wasn't texting or calling, we just told her that maybe, 

our brother was still in the barracks, or he's still in Japan or got deployed to Korea... 

Then exactly 1:00 pm, he came! 

and soon my mom was screaming and crying and sniffing.. Ahhh.. it was really a touching moment..

The best surprise gift a mom could ever receive. 

FYI: My borther has been in the US Navy  for a couple of years now.. Then came the opportunity to come here in our homeland because of the Balikatan Exercises... Luckily, he was given the chance / liberty to stay for one day with family.. And what a day it turned out to be!

I'm just so happy to be with my brother again..
