Jobs Resigns

In the beginning, there was Apple.. and then the world learned more about computers.

I am one of those who were saddened to learn about Steve Jobs' resignation from Apple. Not many of you know this, but 6 years ago, back when I was still working in AOL Phils., I used to handle the Macintosh Department. (You know, that Operating System that competed with Bill Gates' Windows OS). Mac is Apple's official operating system and was launched in all Apple brands.

I was trained and became a Subject Matter Expert on the MAC OS which, in my opinion was better & more user-friendly than Windows. Then I trained another team when AOL had a burst of new members who preferred Mac. During the course of my Mac career, I've learned a lot about Steve Jobs, who also partnered with AOL former founder & CEO Steve Cash. I used to tell my peers that two Steves were better than one Bill Gates. Ha!

Two days ago, when the news about Steve Jobs resigning as Apple's CEO was broadcast to the whole world, I couldn't help but utter thanks to Steve for a job so greatly done. Because of Jobs, the world embraced Macs, iPhones, iPads and iPods. It was truly a great honor to have worked under his management.

"This definitely marks the end of an era," said Michael Gartengerg, an analyst for Gartner, but he added that "there's much more to Apple than Steve Jobs.

kudos to you Steve Jobs.. because of you, I learned a great deal about Mac which i loved more than Windows.. good luck!
