royal april fools' wedding

Is it April 29 already? According to our calendars, we're still weeks away from the day the world will hold their collective breath as they watch royal-in-training Kate Middleton walk down the aisle to literally meet her prince.

So why are His Royal Highness Prince William and his bride-to-be seen here in wedding attire, waving to the many fans snapping photos of the pair as they pass by in their horse and buggy?

The answer is simple: These guys aren't the real deal, they're impersonators of the highly sought-after pair. This isn't an April Fools' Day joke and certainly wasn't put together by the Royal Family, but instead, the royal doubles dressed the part of the couple as part of a publicity event for the launch of author Alison Jackson's 'Kate & Wills Up The Aisle: A Right Royal Fairy Tale.' Traffic stopped all throughout London as bystanders couldn't believe their eyes.

The event creators even went as far as finding a look-alike for Queen Elizabeth, making the scene all that more believable.
