The cameras have finally started rolling on Peter Jackson's adaptation of The Hobbit.

The production had encountered persistent filming delays caused by rights issues, threats of a union boycott, a director walkout, and even health problems when Jackson was hospitalised earlier this year.

The Oscar-winning producer-turned director has now called action on the highly anticipated fantasy adventure in Wellington, New Zealand, and celebrated by releasing two pictures from the set on the film’s new official Facebook page.

Finally... Yipeee!!

I've been waiting for this prequel for ages!!

Time to re-read The Hobbit book again.. I miss "mah prehhciousssssssss" Gollum!
