heroes, revisited
i was supposed to wake up at 10:30 pm to watch replay of The Oscars last night, but I succumbed to sleep when I was putting my youngest to bed. It was already half past 1am when I saw my husband in front of the computer, watching Heroes. (Hubby took a leave of absence at work last night because it was his birthday, yupee!)
At first, when Heroes graced the TV screen, I wasn't really into it. Simply because, at that time, I was so absorbed watching Michael Scofield in Prison Break. But then, I heard a lot of rave reviews about it, and I decided to give it a try, specially when I learned about a character with my namesake.. Yeah, cheerleader Claire and the famous line, Save the Cheerleader, Save the World.
After four years and four seasons, Heroes ended.. Sadly, the show was canceled because of the high costs of production, diminished viewing and an increase in other programming. I wasn't able to finish watching the four seasons, actually. So when my boss told me he had acquired/downloaded all seasons of Heroes, I was excited and copied it!
Hubby and I are now on Season 2. It's nice seeing Hiro, Nathan & Peter Petrelli again. How I wish I could have superpowers too..

I used to watch Heroes too but got bored with the story...

i love heroes too!it's been awhile since i last saw an episode, my season 3 sits untouched in my hard drive..i remember my fist encounter, i watched for 12 hours or so wanting to finish the first episode in one sitting. i simply love hiro + peter petrelli...must find time to watch it again!
ReplyDeleteAccording to some reviews, Heroes was removed because of the story in the last seasons. The twists and turns of the show are the culprit.
