Today is Kyle's last day at school.. General Rehearsal is on the way. Tomorrow is his Recognition Day.

I had a talk with his adviser and asked about our great benefactor, Mr. Kobayashi who had been generous in helping the school where my child goes to. He is actually from Japan and a couple of weeks ago, he was here with his team of Charity - the Kapatid Foundation headed by Mr. Nagaso and twelve other Japanese students.

{My kid's school was founded by Dominican Sisters of St. Therese and is funded by the Kapatid Foundation}.

We (Parents, Teachers ans Students) actually gave them a Welcome Party at school by singing, dancing, playing games with the kids and stuff.  These Japs were really so nice and talented and helpful. They also danced, sang, joked with the kids, played with them, shared High-Fives and gave goodies.

One particular Jap student went all the way entertaining the kids, hopping from one seat to another, not minding the heat, just to make sure that the kids are okay and hydrated. The other Japanese students also made sure that all of us went home safe when the program was ended. It was a real great Welcome Party.

After one week, they went back to Japan. And then the massive earthquake happened. Thousands of lives were taken, Tsunami did a great damage on the main land and neighboring countries, Nuclear plants emitted poisonous radiations. It was a truly devastating occurence.

I was relieved when my child's teacher informed us that our Japanese visitors from last week were all safe. They were from the Southern part of Japan where not much damage was done. Still, my heart goes out to those who were affected and I sincerely pray that this calamity won't happen again. Let's all join our hands together for Japan's quick recovery.

  1. Awww...thank God at safe sila.

Grabe talaga yung epekto ng tsunami at eartquake sa Japan. Hanggang ngayon hirap pa rin yung mga Hapon.
