TCP: Jerry Maguire
It's Tuesday once again! For this week's February 8th edition of Tuesday Couch Potatoes, our theme is Phileo / Friendship Love: Camaraderie and Friendship.
There are indeed a lot of movies that revolved around friends, whether establishing a relationship between new acquaintances, or further strengthening their bond. One movie that particularly stood out for me is JERRY MAGUIRE.

There are indeed a lot of movies that revolved around friends, whether establishing a relationship between new acquaintances, or further strengthening their bond. One movie that particularly stood out for me is JERRY MAGUIRE. I am not a big fan of sports films, nor Tom Cruise. (although I'm a Renee Zellweger follower!) But I clearly remember that the very reason I became an Oscar Awards follower is because of the movie Jerry Maguire.
(Yes, that's a trivia for you!) I was able to watch this film a month before the Oscars in 1996. When I learned that it was nominated as Best Picture, I knew that I had to watch it, because there was something about the film that made me value my friends more.
Oh, and the fact that Jerry Maguire spawned several popular quotations, made the movie more interesting! Famous quotes include:
- "Show me the money!"
- "You complete me",
- "Help me help you", and
- "You had me at 'hello'"
There was something about the movie that made me look at relationships & friendships on a whole new different level. Being a manager or boss doesn't mean that you have to detach yourself from your team; on the contrary, you must be supportive to them. The story is more about two men who learn how to value something more important than money, and about the women who always knew.
And that's my share for this week's Tuesday Couch Potatoes. See you around!

I've already watched this movie gazillion times already and I never grew tired of watching it. And I was a huge Tom Cruise fan at that time hihihi...kaka kilig!
