weekend movie marathon
Last Saturday, we had a movie marahon at home. Honey and I thought it's best to spend quality time with your kids by watching movies that children love. So I got my USB FlashDisk full of downloaded animated films and inserted in on our DVD-USB player and viola! Saturday fever began!

First we watched Despicable Me... Finally! we failed to watch it a year ago and now, as if my kids are catching up for the lost time, they are clamoring for an encore showing every 5 hours - every day!! yes, for a week now, they insisted on watching the good-hearted villain Gru and his 3 adorable adopted kids, Margaux, Eden & Agnes.. They're so cute & fluffy I'm gonna die!! weeee! Do I sound annoying? Chuck-Chuck-Chuck!
Anyway, we all had fun with Despicable Me. No boring scenes, Vector is seriously funny, and his fortress is enourmously high-tech! I'd love to pay a visit to Vector's facility one day. And Gru's mom - freakingly weird but loving, i think my kids like her too! But the most fun part? That's when Gru read the girls an originally written bedtime story and finally kissed the girls goodnight.. awwww...
Next movie we watched is The Legend of the Guardians. I found it a little serious for my liking but the special effects were awesome. The story itself is great and I was thrilled to learn that it was based from a book. Ive got to scour my favorite bookstore so I can find (or order) for a copy of the book.

The Legend of the Guardians - the Owls of Ga'hoole, in its entirety is entertaining. I like Sorenn's character, brave and bold and loving, unlike his brother Claud, an insecure, high & mighty wannabe. The story teaches a lot about family ties, valuing friendship and thinking of the others. I think there's a sequel to the movie because Claud, who fell from a very high flaming tree, was still alive! I better check out the book for more info!
Third animated movie - and my newest favorite Disney film (my all time-fave is Beauty and the Beast) is Brothers Grimm version of Rapunzel, Tangled. It is an animated musical film featuring the voice of Mandy Moore and the sexy debonaire Zachary Levi.. ahhhh, their storuy is one magical adventure with Maximus, the horse, on the sidewalk and a pack of friends who fulfilled their own dreams in the end. For me, Tangled is the best animated film of 2010.. :)

Wow!
ReplyDeleteYou just watched the latest movie of Disney. :-)
You are a good mom because you spend quality time with your kids.
To tell you frankly, I haven't watch any of those animate films yet.
