rat, rat go away!

Such a depressing Saturday! :(

My left foot got hurt & was bitten by a rodent the other night (dawn actually, about 4am). I thought I was only dreaming about my feet getting clamped and suddenly I woke up, i flipped my foot and i saw this pest running for his life.

I didn't notice anything at first, but then my feet began to throb; that when i saw blood. i immediately went to the bathroom to clean my feet and put antiseptic (betadine) on the bitten area. when I got out of the bathroomm, i saw the trail of blood along our tiles; it's like the one you see on a crime scene where the trail of blood leads you to where it all happened.

i wasn't able to sleep from thereon. That morning, i got chills for half an hour, I nauseated and had slight fever. Then my tummy got upset, I had to go to the restroom every 30 minutes. My mom got freaked out so she called my sister Jen to take me to the hospital. (my husband was still at work at that time).

So we went to the hospital yesterday for observation; the results returned positive with infection so they had to give me 4 shots of anti-rabies, anti-tetanus, ati-toxic and human tetanus immunoglobin. gosh, i felt so weak after getting those shots!! eeep!

Thank God, everything's ok now.. thanks to all who prayed, esp. to my mom for looking after the kids while I was away, to my sister Jen for helping me out, to the jolly nurses & cute doctors at St. Raphael Hospital and AU Hosp; to my kids for all those hugs & kisses and to my Husband for being there while I was getting shots here & there, for being my pillar of strength when I was so weak..
