being in love

this has been sitting down in my Saved/Draft folders, i remember redlan tagging me with this meme which is about relationship and the tips that i may be handing down to my kids in the near future... okay, here goes my answers, folks!

1. when was your first kiss and where?
would you believe that my first kiss was never my first boyfriend? first stolen kiss memory was from my classmate, Dennis Sorinao - who admitted that he had a crush on me since we were in 2nd year. the stolen kiss happened in our classroom, after our last subject, 15 minutes before we head homewards. he told me he had always been looking at me during our class but never seriously courted me because our studies were our top priorities - aside from the fact that we were really young at that time.

2. when was your first real relationship and how long did it last?
hmm.. actually, i admit i did had my first boyfriend during my fourth year in highschool, but i still considered our case as an infatuation or puppy love. i guess my first real relationship was with Ronan B. when i was in 4th year college. that's when i introduced him to my mom. the relationshp lasted for about a year.

3. what age were you allowed to date?
my mom never really allowed me to date when i was in high school. she never knew about my first boyfriend because ours was just a secret one. as i've said, it was merely infatuation. but when i reached my 2nd year in college, that's when my mom permitted me to go on a date..

4. what's the craziest thing you did (for love) when you were a teenager?
i really can't remember. hhmmm.. i guess i have to skip this one first.. i'll try to recollect my thoughts tonight ... maybe i'll be able to remember..

5. how long is your longest relationship and what's the secret?
longest boyfriend relationship lasted for more than two years.. our secret? Trust & Constant Communication.. but something happened which broke my trust and when we lacked communication, that's when our relationship got caught up "on the rocks"...

6. how long did you date before you decided to settle down?
with my hubby, Marc, we dated for almost a year, then we decided to tie the knot.. a year of friendship and courtship was enough for us to say "I DO" in the end...

7. how long did you know s/he was the one?
Six months! it took him 6 months to court me and for me to finally tell him that I love him. that's when i knew he was the one.

8. now, at what age will you allow your kid(s) to date?
i don't really know... maybe 16 or 18? i guess i should let my boys decide for themselves.. i wouldn't want to be called a KJ mom.. but i think i will not be so strict with them when it comes to dating..

9. when it comes to your kids dating, will you be a cool parent or a strict parent?
hmm.. deja vu.. as mentioned above, no, i will try not to be a strict parent. i'm gonna be "cool" with them.. :)

10. what piece of advice can you give to your child when they start dating?
For my two sons: enjoy your youth.. enjoy dating.. bring your girls at our house.. don't court on the streets.. learn how to cook so you can easily get through your girl's hearts.. always remember, live, love and laugh :)
