U Changed My Life...
i had a movie date with my Spice Girls last night at SM.. 7 months after we've watched A Very Special Love, i was able to spend giggly time with my ladies.. and we were all smiling and laughing our hearts out before & after watching the sequel, You Changed My Life...
the Spice Girls - Mhai, Balakang, Pia, Vavavoom & I - have already talked about our movie date a few weeks ago. we are all John Lloyd fans and we made a pact that we won't ever miss any Lloydie movie.. so off we went to our rendesvouz yesterday.. some of us had off-set schedules & others even had to write excuse letter to their bosses so we could all watch the movie together..
anyways, we all had great fun while watching the film. as expected, there were a lot of people in the cinema. John Lloyd aka Miggy Montenegro was ooooozing with sex appeal.. all his shots, from all angles, all sides, from head to toe, he was sooo freaking HOT!! okay, now i'm freaking!!
the movie, in its entirety is light and heartwarming. of course, those li'l kilig moments are enough to make us all go "awwww" and "oooh" and "weeee!!".. the "bebe koh" ringtones, the corny dialogues {mas mahal kita}, the power hugs, those killer smiles... ahhh!! what more can i say?
although this sequel has much more tension moments and has a li'l bit heavier drama compared to the first one, i was much more enlightened with the message of the story.. something about loving someone at the outmost of one's ability.. love is not quantifiable.. "like what Miggy said, "di ko man kayang tumbasan ang feelings mo para akin, yung pagmamahal ko hindi nagbabago yan.. kung hanggang saan lang ang kaya ko para maipakita ko kung gaano kita kamahal, sana ay makasapat na iyon sa iyo.. dahil hindi nasusukat ang pagmamahal..."
so true.. real love is unmeasurable. it is infinite yet so powerful. oftentimes, we begin to realize that you can never love someone greater than the way they love you.. but what matters most is you know how to express the power of love.
yes, in between giggles, i managed to grasp the moral of the story :)
anyway, for those who haven't watched, here's a short synopsis of my new fave movie, which i got from Star Cinema/YouChangedMyLife
It’s been 6 months since Laida Magtalas won the heart of her prince charming Miggy Montenegro and it has been nothing but roses—she got promoted, Flippage is now in the same building where Miggy works and best of all, her hair looks better. To Laida, nothing can break her perfect world.Meanwhile, Miggy also feels like he’s on top of the world. He is finally okay with his family and for the first time, he’s in a relationship that has meaning. He is slowly proving to everyone that he is indeed a work in progress.
But things are quickly proven not quite what they seem. Miggy gets promoted but is assigned in Laguna. Laida, on the otherhand, is being offered a job in Canada. With their careers leading Laida and Miggy to different paths, their relationship suffers from the pressures of being apart. Will Laida and Miggy be able to keep their happily ever after? Or will they realize, a little too late, that living the dream is actually harder than attaining it?
