Superman's Kryptonite on NBA

a year ago, during the NBA All-Star's event, Dwight Howard's Superman Slam Dunk really blew me away.. i was rather impressed with his maginificent fly-away gimmick over Gerald Green's candle-blowing adventure..

but this year, it was the little old man, 5'9" Nate Robinson who made the great big leap over the horizon, after breaking through the Slam-Dunk competition, held in NBA 2009 All-Star's venue, Phoenix, AZ. at first, i was wowed with Nate's guts to join the Slam Dunk because he was the shortest among the contenders.. i vaguely remember him though on the past, past NBA All-Stars game, i think he was with Spud Web at that time.. or it was Spud Web or someone else.. ahhh. i really can't remember..

anyway, i was kinda disappointed when Rudy Fernandez, (not the actor) the Spanish stallion/player, wasn't able to get a higher score, despite the magnificent dunk he protrayed.. maybe it was because he had at least 8 tries before he was able to perfect with SlamDunk gimmick.. maybe it was his fellow Spanish comrade's fault for not being able to throw the ball the way Fernandez wanted it to be.. but if he was able to the dunk in just 1 try, i'd say, he and Nate should be the ones competing on the final round.

but hey, it was really fun seeing Howard vs Robinson.. they were like David & Goliath... and i rooted for Nate Robinson, of course.

anyway, Dwight Howard's escape to the telephone booth and coming out as Superman wasn't something that surprised me, coz he did that already last year.. but having another basketball ring and setting it to 12-feet high, well, that resulted to a really amazing dunk, even LeBron James was impressed!

oh speaking of Lebron, i'm ecstatic becoz he finally confirmed that he'll be joining the Slam Dunk feat next year in Dallas.. yipeee!!!

back to Nate & Howard... well, when i saw Nate changed (from blue) to green jerseys, i knew he was in for somethng fabulous.. and when Howard didn't remove his Superman cape, but he stood in front of the hoop, ahhhh, that was when Superman has finally fallen to his knees because the kryptonite man Nate Robinson got his green ball rolling and did a very great slam dunk above Howard's head.. way to go Nate!!!
