the smiling moon

last night, my husband wanted to go out of the house and drop by the near "tyanggehan" in our place to buy some stuffs.. i decided to bring along our kids so they can feel the cool air outside..

while we were walking, my big boy Kyle shouted, Mommy, Look, yung moon, nag-i-smile! not looking up, i thought my kid was just trying to get my attention because i was carrying baby Kian. just then my husband yelled, Mommy, nag-i-smile nga!

and then i saw it.. two glistening stars aligned above ain inverted crescent half-moon. indeed, it was a smiley face. "such a rare occurence, isn't it?" my hubby gushed..

don't you want to make a wish? i jokingly told him.. our kids wanted me take a photo of the moon.. too bad i didn't have my camera with me at that time. thanks to Jane of http://herestolife.wordpress.com/ here's the exact photo of the moon with the stars above it..

we didn't really had an idea that this kind of moon phase would happen, until i heard my officemate blabbed about it today.. so, it was Jupiter and Venus joining forces with the moon.. it was really an awesome sight! i'm glad we (my kids, hubby & i) were able to witness it and we became part of a once-in-a-lifetime treat...
