baby sick leave
i was on an emergency leave yesterday because my two little darlings got sick..Monday evening, little Kian was already showing signs of fatigue and he had been coughing roughly. i can feel his pain when he coughed.. then i got alarmed when i watched news about babies and kiddies having pulmonary diseases in various towns. truly, getting sick due to the weather conditions are getting rampant these days.. that's why when i saw my kid looking sad and quite sleepy, i knew there was something wrong..
Tuesday morning, Kian had a high fever and was constantly sneezing and coughing. so i setup an appointment with my kids' pediatrician, Dr. Obrique and she was gracious enough to accomodate my angel. i left Kyle at home, not knowing that he was not feeling well.
while i was at my Doc's clinic, i received a text message from my kids' yaya, telling me that Kyle was wailing out loud as if there's something that hurts in him.. right after i got the medications from Doc, hubby and i immediately went home to see our firstborn. i was surprised to see him sobbing while asleep. when i touched his forehead, he was very hot. i got the thermometer and it registered 39ÂșC.. i got alarmed.. i didn't know what to do.. had i known he was not feeling well, i should have brought him to his doctor too..
fortunately, we already bought two bottles of Paracetamol for kids. it has always been my habit to buy medicines in two, one for Kyle & one for Kian, just in case they both got sick. and it happened yesterday.. aside from Paracetamol, Doc also recommended Cefaclor & Ventolin expectorant for my kids' coughs & colds.. i'm quite thankful to our HealthCard (Medicard) because we were able to get some of the medicines for free, and the checkup & consultation are also free.
this morning, my kids are feeling a little better although Kyle got a li'l dose of diarrhea. nevertheless, i am confident that he will soon get well with proper nutrition, proper diet, proper dosage of medicine and prayers to our Dear Father..
