Kyle's Picnic Party
last 18th of September, my family celebrated our panganay - Kyle's 3rd birthday - Picnic style!
we were supposed to do it at home, but Kyle insisted on playing outside with his brother... then i remembered the perfect place where he can go around & chase his brother away, without bumping into our appliances & other breakable objects.. i told my husband, "why don't we try celebrating Kyle's big day at the Clark picnic grounds? " my hubby nodded in approval and soon, everyone in the house packed their things & in an hour, we were there at Clark...
other family members present in the event are my sisters - Jean and Weng, brother - Jonas, my mom, cousin Colyn, and my sister's boyfriend, Aldin. mom cooked pancit and minced pork in tomato sauce.. my brother made jelly salad, i made fried chicken while hubby & i bought Kyle's favorite chocolate birthday cake... we ate our hearts out during lunch under the shady trees and cool ambiance..
there were already a few families having their own picnic bondings at that time. some were already eating while others were horse-back riding.. Kyle's eyes grew big when he saw a horse up close! at first, he was kind of afraid, but when the Korean lady told us that the stag was harmless, i let him go near it and he smiled with glee..

after lunch, the
kids, Kyle & Kian, ran freely through the open area.. these
kids had so much energy, that i was actually breathless in just a few minutes after chasing them around.. Kyle was game in taking pictures.. he would pose any way he wants... he was simply adorable, especially when he did his usual Superman stunt... Kian, on the other hand, was a little shy when i take pictures of him, but i was able to capture some of his irresistable candid shots..
the adults, on the other hand, had their hands full, too.. full of chess pieces, that is! Hubby brought our glass chess set and he played alongside with my brother, Jonas, soon-to-be brother-in-law, Aldin and my cousin Colyn. my sister Jean was busy capturing video moments on her cellphone while I rented a bicycle with side car so we can go around the grounds.. i considered biking as part of my slimming-down regiment, so it was a good exercise for me! my legs were aching a little but i enjoyed every minute of it.
it was already past 5 pm when we decided to call it a day.. the kids, although exhausted, were smiling from ear to ear when we got home.. Kyle told me that he wants to go to the picnic grounds again & ride the horse.. i told him that if he's going to be a beaved kid and if he will not be a "pasaway" until christmas, i might just allow him to ride the horse :)
truly, it has been a very special day for my kids & for all of us!.. :)

please do watch "eyes wide shut" and tell me what you think of the movie..I kinda didn't really get it..maybe I need a second opinion..LOL..
