goodbye's and hello's
saying goodbye has never been easy.. but being welcomed by another party is surely a very happy moment. i can attest to that when i bade farewell to my old company. there's the feeling of sadness, excitement, optimism and pain. nevertheless, i have moved on and proved that my decision was wise and satisfying. now that i'm here in my new company, life has never been better.
during the last two months, two of my peers in the Bankruptcy team decided to say buh-bye and take on bigger & meatier roles. ChenChen wanted to be there when her unico-hijo finally said "hello" to his first teachers and classmates. Michael, a licensed Engineer, saw the light from the end of the tunnel when he grabbed the opportunity to work as a real engineer in another company.
of course, if there's "goodbye", there should be a "hello".. during our last Team Building in Subdelicious Resto, we celebrated the grand exit of Chen & Mike and our grand welcome to Novie to the Bankruptcy Department. Novie proved to be a very important part of the team. Kudos to her for being able to smile after a very long tiring day.. :)
this month, my friend Alvin B. welcomed the birth of his first baby. When i look at him, i can see wrinkles and dark circles arounf his eyes, but his smile is so contagious. he's very happy because he is finally a father. congratulations, Bino!
a couple of weeks ago, i've also welcomed three of my former colleagues (in AOL)- Paul, Liezl & Budiman. i really didn't expect to see them here in my office. nevertheless, i'm glad to see familiar faces again.
last July 8, an old friend and boardmate, Cel, held a despidida party and finally flew to Australia to be with her family.. although i was not able to join the party, i wished her the best Down Under.
yesterday, i've finally caught up with Bongga, a former boardmate too - and i heard from her that my common friend, Sharrie is now spreading her wings in Makati. and my kumareng Dei is now working in a nearby company and is busy with her new career..
and oh, i have recently celebrated my 8th month here in iQor. wow!! it's been more than half a year na pala since i resigned from AOL. a lot of things has really changed.. and i'm looking forward to more changes in the years ahead!
