my inanimate BFFs

"Have you ever named or befriended an inanimate object? What did you call it?"

i got this question from LJ's Daily Writer's Block and somehow, i had this urge to answer the daily meme.. actually, while typing this, i am looking at my favorite inanimate thing which i named Belle..

yes, that's Belle, my teddy bag.. my BFF.. Belle and I had come a long way.. she's actually a gift from my mom, which my nanay bought December of 2003. Nanay knows i love teddy bears and i have a collection og bag, that's why she got them for me.

Belle has been there eversince and i kept her even after i got married and gave birth to my two sons.. i actually handed her down (pinamana) to my sons but i still use the bag here at work.. i think i just can't take her away from me.. Belle has become my bestest best thing-friend.

actually, i had lots of stuffs at home which have names.. yes, i name my things.. i consider talking to them as a way to express myself when no one wants to listen to me.. if there's something i want to say, i tell it to my pillow, or to my bears.. i tell them my emotion, they listen to me, they know my joys and pains.. they're my mute witnesses but loyal companions..

as i've said, i have this teddy bear collection and Hello Kitty stuffed toys and pillows (some i received as gifts from my ex-boyfriends and former classmates) and all those teddies have names.

the very first stuffed toy i got is Ernie (from Sesame Street) which my father (whose name is also Ernie) gave me.. sorry, i no longer have a picture of him..

then there's Marsha, Hello Kitties - Blue & Pinky, Blake, Donita/Chloe, Tommy, Hotdog, Hedwig, Spongie, Pooh, Heart and Clark. now these stuffed toys are in my closet but from time to time, my kids play with them.

and here he is sleeping while cuddling Chloe.. Chloe is the last gift i received from my ex-bf. Her original name was Donita but i decided to change it to Chloe.. I also have a male version of this one, which i named Tommy, because that bear was the prize that me and my ex won in the Tom's World Arcade center..

the other bears and Hello Kitties (Blue & Pinky), Blake, Tommy, Hotdog, Hedwig, Spongie, and Heart don't have pics yet.. :(

and the biggest teddy bear of them all, Clark Kent..actually, he has a Superman costume, when we bought this teddy bear, but due to constant "wrestling" with my kids, the costume was torn so i had to undress Clark Kent.. :) my cousin, Colleen put the pink ribbon around his neck. it was supposed to be blue but we were not able to find any blue ribbon at home.. see Kian's facial expression? he was actually scared when i put him above Clark, he thought the bear would eat him.. hehehe..
