felicity..
Dear Sally,
it's been what? 10 years.. yes, ten years since my fave tv show debuted and featured a young Keri Russel as Felicity.
a friend once asked me, "which TV show are you missing the most?" i immediately answered her, "FELICITY"..
why? what's so special about her?
the simple answer: the story itself...
yeah, i liked Beverly Hills and My So-Called Life (i wrote an entry about this last year) - these feel-good shows featured stories that everyone can relate with and with moral lessons that you can learn from..
but Felicity struck me the best.. because coming-of-age drama showcased a realistic view on a world of teenagers as it this tracked the life and experiences of those who went to college, who experimented with the ways of life, who made mistakes in choosing the right person to trust, who thought of doing part-time jobs to make both ends meet, who transitioned from happy-go-lucky fellows to mature adulthood, who fell in and out of love..
basically, the show reminded me so much of my college life. the character of Felicity is so believable that i looked up to her especiall on how she handles tough situations.
when this show ended, i felt as though a part of me was lost. its as if i lost a dear friend. it's as if Felicity was real and she was my best friend.. i miss her.. just like how much i miss my two bestfriends, Dei and Kristeene.. i miss my friends who made me see life from different perspective and taught me so many important life lessons..
ahh.. how i really wish JJ Abrams would produce this show again, featuring a now more mature Felicity, Ben and Noel.
