my first tikoy

yes.. during my 29 years of existense, it was only yesterday during the celebration of the Chinese New Year that I was able to take my first bite of the very famous tikoy..and i must say, the experience was great! :)

haayy.. who would believe that i haven't got the slightest idea on how to cook and eat tikoy? well, amigos and amigas, it's true.. i have long heard about this malagkit, matamis na parang kalamay version of the chinoys but i never tasted a piece.. it was only last night when my parents-in-law went to our house.. they decided to visit their grandkids before they fly to australia... thanks to my sister Jean (who used to eat tikoy in Ongpin whenever she visits our relatives in Manila), i finally learned how to cook and eat it.. hehehe..

i love tikoy!
