anak ng walastik...

just want to share something funny that happened to me and my kid when we went out shopping..

last sunday, i went to Robinson's to shop for our weekly groceries.. i brought my son, Kyle with me. we were happily chatting when we reached the counter to pay for our groceries when this little tyke wearing a Lastikman T-shirt approached my son.. (nakapila din sila sa kbilang lane)

the little tyke's name (from what i heard) is francis; he was more or less three years old. yup, a year older than Kyle. . he saw my son helping me push our cart. i guess he got intimidated with my son's super cute smiling face. francis retorted, "mommy, look, he's got a Spiderman slipper" (mommy, oh, yung tsinelas nya, Spiderman..)

his mother ignored him so he took one glance at my kid and said, oy, bata, panget spiderman mo... tingnan mo t-shirt ko, Lastikman!" then he threw his arms in the air and made the "kame-hame-wave"... yung style na parang bumubuo ng fireball sa kamay...

eh di syempre, ang anak kong pasaway, di nagpatalo... inglesero ang aking little Kyle... he said, "you, panget. i am Power Ranger Red!" and of course, he waved his arms in the air and posed like a Power Ranger...

i just smiled sa nakita ko.. pero di uli nagpatalo yung batang Francis. he went to his mom and said, "mommy, he's power ranger daw.. di ba ako si Lastikman?"

ang reply ng kanyang ina..."oo anak, ikaw si lastikman.. bakit, inaaway ka ba nya? wag mo sya pansinin, si Alingasaw sya.."

at nagpanting ang aking mga tenga when i heard her remark...

hellow!! alangan namang magpatalo ako noh!

i told my son (at pinarinig ko sa nanay ng bata), "No Kyle, you are Power Ranger Red and you are better looking than him..." at tumingin ako sa mag-ina sa harap namin.. sabi ko, "helllo... hindi Alingasaw ang anak ko.. tingnan mo nga, hindi naman madungis ang anak ko.. naliligo ng baby powder yan.. di porke nakasinelas lang sya eh tatawagin mong Alingasaw.. excuseeee me..."

yes, my friends.. ang simpleng tuksuhan ng mga bata ay pinatulan ko at nagtaray pa ako.. buti na lang di na nagreact yung mommy nung bata, kasi sila na ang sunod na magbabayad sa counter.. hehehe...
