bedtime story

my shift started at 9am yesterday.. not my usual schedule but i really have to swap time.. good thing CDJ was kind enough to trade time with me.. else, absent sana ako kahapon.. thanks Denskie!

anyway, it was already almost 8pm when i got home last night.. akala ko, tulog na yung dalawang chikiting pagdating ko.. i kinda felt sad coz i missed them the whole day..

pero, to my surprise, when i got home, pinagbuksan ako ni Kyle ng pinto and shouted, "Mommy, Mommy"... with arms wide open.. awww.. (he always says Mommy twice...) my heart melt when i saw him.. niyakap ko agad ang aking munting anghel and kissed his cheeks and forehead and lips...

after i kissed him, he said, "Mommy, Mommy... read.. read...book... read..." while raising his coloring book. i told him, "Later baby... tired pa si mommy eh.. did you eat na ba?"

he nodded his head and said, "Yes. .. Mommy Mommy, read.. read!" ang kuleeet ni kyle... i told him to stay put because i have to check on his little brother first.. pero he's the jealous type of a bro, so he didn't let go of me until i sat beside him and read him some lines from his "book"... he even removed his trash from the sofa and said, "oh, mommy, upo.. upo".. at naupo naman po ako sa tabi nya.. at nag-umpisa na kong mag-story telling...

buti na lang, naka-on yung TV.. when Kyle heard of the jingle, "Makulay ang buhay... sa sinabawang gulay.." he stood up and danced in front of the TV.. i took that chance to escape and headed to my little Kian's room..

si baby Kian naman, biglang nagising when i approached his bed.. tabi sila ng daddy nya.. when Kian opened his eyes, he gave me one of his sweetest smile... awww... ang cute cute nya talaga!!!..

my honey kissed me and asked if i had my dinner already.. i told him not yet, although kumain na talaga ako sa office... i just wanted us to have dinner together with Kyle sana.. pero si Kyle, busog na pala, sabi ni Yaya, kasi inubos nya yung plate nya with noodles and rice.. wow! takaw! hehehe..

30 mins later, my hon reported to work na.. so pinatulog ko na si Kian... but kyle was still was wide awake.. he still wanted me to read him a book.. so humiga kami sa kama namin and i opened his coloring book and i narrated to him the story of Jack and the Beanstalk.. (yun kasi ang nakadrawing sa coloring book nya..)

while i was "reading", kyle would nod his head and say.."ahh...uh-huh.. ow? hmmm..." as if he understood what i was telling him... he's only 1 year & 10 months old specially when i told him about the Giant who lived in the Castle above the beanstalk, kyle widened his eyes and said, "Oh!"... he's so adorable when he does that...

when i finished storytelling, i smiled.. nakatulog na pala si kyle sa pagbabasa ko... awww....
