fun under the sun

Last Sunday was fun, fun day with the rest of my team... YGM Season 2 swimmers consisted of: Brye & Sarah, Moks, Vinee, Dove, Mang Uy, Ada, Donnel & wife, Gen & wife, Harwin & wife, and of course, me & my honey and baby Kyle... our mini-get together served as our "huling hataw sa tag-araw" moment, and at the same time, our matinee despidida for Brye, who would soon be leaving for Qatar...*sniff, sniff*

calltime was 8:30-8:45am, but apparently, since we are all Filipinos', Pinoy time was followed.. anyway, even if most of us our latecomers, we did our best to enjoy every moment that we were together.. coz we know that we might not be able to do this again next year...

each of us were tasked to bring something for our swimming party.. i was in charge in bringing paper plates, spoons, and beverages.. brye brought liempos and pork chops.. donnel cooked chicken & pork adobo, vinee made spaghetti & brought a digicam, ada brought desserts, moks cooked (half-cooked!) rice & veggies, harwin brought mangoes & bagoong, dove grilled the tilapias and gen brought hotdogs..

the venue: Rupert's Place in GreenMeadows.. located within the quiet suburbs of Mabalacat... relaxing, cozy and spacious... has a large swimming pool, three bahay-kubos, videoke machine, tv, griller, 5 large tables with monoblock chairs, carpark area, and clean rest rooms... my rating for the place: 3stars...

Kyle & i were the very first to test the pool.. the water was soooo cold! at first, my son hesitated going to the pool area, but when he saw me played water splashes, he quickly dipped his foot and laughed out loud.. cheery!!

basically, kyle and i soaked up under the sun for most of the day.. that's the disavantage when you tag along a kid.. little tykes love playing in the water.... even if we are under the scorching heat at 12 high noon! my golly... my kid really loves the water, so there's nothing else i could do but to stand by him until he got tired and sleepy... chuckles! ~~i was relieved when he decided to take a nap at 3pm! huh!~~

my honey joined the other guys in preparing our food and fixing the table.. ada took pictures of everyone. after all the grilling, everybody ate to our heart's delight...

the boys then started singing with the videoke machine after lunch.. vinee, our very own mr. quando, started the song and dance number.. my honey, never wanting to be left behind, also grabbed the mic and rapped to the Itsumo hit single.. yeah, baby, yeah!!!

and the rest of the afternoon was spent in the pool... everyone lounged in there, talked about politics, showbiz and cars.. no one spoke about work... but of course!!! this was the time of our lives and we had to spend it wisely, right?
